From Americus to the NFL
Victor Green's journey began in Americus, Georgia, where athletics, education, hard work and community helped shape his path.
After continuing his education and football career at Copiah-Lincoln Community College and the University of Akron, Victor entered the NFL in 1993 as an undrafted free agent and went on to become a starting strong safety for the New York Jets.
His 12-year NFL career included nine seasons with the Jets, followed by time with the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints. The discipline and leadership developed through football became part of a larger mission: using his platform to make a difference.
